Dear Fellow Legal Professionals, I am a lawyer from Bhutan. That fact alone tells you something about the perspective I bring to this platform. Practicing law at the edge of the Himalayas, advising businesses on international transactions and emerging technology, I have always operated at a crossroads — between the local and the global, the traditional and the new. That position shaped everything about how Global Law Lists.org® was conceived and built. My path in law took me to Washington DC, where I had the privilege of observing practice at White & Case LLP, one of the world's foremost international law firms. What I witnessed there left a lasting impression. I saw how the most consequential legal work in the world gets done — not by individual brilliance alone, but through a vast architecture of trusted relationships, carefully built across jurisdictions and cultures over many years. The best lawyers in that building were not just technically excellent. They were extraordinarily well connected. I came back to Thimphu carrying that observation with me. I founded Basnet Attorneys & Law and began building a practice that worked across borders, across legal systems, and across cultures. Throughout that process, the same need surfaced again and again: a reliable, credible way to find the right legal partner in another part of the world. Not the most advertised firm. The right one.
