Editorial Standards
How we research, write, and correct the legal insights and news published on Global Law Lists.org™, and how we keep editorial content independent from advertising.
Last Updated — 5 July 2026
1. Purpose & scope
Our Insights section publishes general commentary on legal developments, industry trends, and practice topics for an international audience. These standards apply to all editorial content we produce.
2. Not legal advice
Editorial content is general information, not legal advice, and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change over time; readers should consult a qualified lawyer about their specific situation.
3. Sourcing & accuracy
We aim to base articles on primary and reputable secondary sources, and to describe cases, statutes, and figures accurately. We do not invent case names, docket numbers, quotations, or statistics. Where an example is illustrative rather than a real matter, we say so.
4. Authorship & attribution
Articles are attributed to a named author or to the GLL Editorial Team. Guest contributions are identified as such, and material contributed by members is labelled to distinguish it from independent editorial.
5. Independence from advertising
Editorial decisions are made independently of membership tiers and advertising. Paying for a listing does not buy favourable coverage, and commercial relationships are disclosed where relevant. See our advertising disclosure.
6. Corrections
We correct significant errors promptly and transparently. If you believe an article is inaccurate, email [email protected] with the article link and the issue, and we will review it.
