How paid placements and membership tiers work on Global Law Lists.org™, and how to tell commercial placement apart from independent editorial content.

Last Updated — 5 July 2026

1. How we fund the platform

Global Law Lists.org™ is funded primarily by memberships paid by the law firms and lawyers who list with us. This lets us keep search and access free for the public.

2. What a paid tier does — and does not — mean

Membership tiers (for example “Premium” and “Global Prestige”) and their badges reflect the plan a member has purchased. Paid tiers may increase a profile's visibility and unlock profile features. They are not an editorial endorsement, an independent ranking, or a certification of quality, and they do not by themselves confirm that we have verified every credential.

3. Identifying paid placement

Placement and prominence in some listings can be influenced by a member's tier. Where a position is determined by a commercial arrangement rather than a neutral ranking, we aim to make that clear through tier badges and labelling.

4. Editorial independence

Our Insights and news content is produced independently of advertising and membership status, in line with our editorial standards. Paying for a listing does not buy editorial coverage.

5. Questions

If anything about a placement or badge is unclear, email [email protected] and we will explain how it works.
